Worksport Ltd. has expanded its product line with new tonneau covers for leading truck brands, driven by engineering innovation. The company is poised for growth with the upcoming launch of clean energy solutions, such as the SOLIS Solar Tonneau Cover and COR Portable Energy System, marking its continued focus on hybrid and clean energy solutions.

According to car and selling, top-selling vehicles such as the Ford F-Series, Chevy Silverado, and Ram Pickup they accounted for over 50% of U.S. vehicle sales in 2023, highlighting the significant market potential for Worksport’s expansion.

Worksport Ltd., an American manufacturer and innovator in hybrid and clean energy solutions for light trucks, overlanding, and consumer goods, proudly announces the launch of new tonneau cover models. These additions include applications for several top truck brands, such as General Motors, Ford, and Hyundai. 

This latest development aligns with Worksport’s strategic growth goals, marking a significant expansion of its product line. It underscores the expertise of Worksport’s engineering team, which is integral to the company’s vision of seizing market opportunities and positioning itself as a long-term industry leader.

Responding to market demands through engineering expertise

The Worksport engineering team’s adaptability and innovation have been central to the company’s growth. Over the past six months, Worksport has introduced 19 new models of tonneau covers, catering to major vehicle manufacturers like General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, and Honda. These covers are designed with durability in mind, meeting the needs of both private consumers and commercial users. The latest additions include:

  • Chevrolet/GMC: Canyon/Colorado, 1500, and 2500 models
  • Ford: Ford Ranger and Ford Super Duty models
  • Toyota: Tacoma and Tundra models, including 2024 versions with cargo management features
  • Nissan: Frontier and Titan models, with options for utility brackets
  • Honda: Ridgeline, 5′ bed length, model years 2017–2024

According to CEO Steven Rossi, Worksport’s growth potential is immense. “With 16.3 million Ford F-Series trucks on the road, a possibility to capture just 5% of that market at our current AL3 sale price of $699 represents a massive $570 million opportunity for Worksport.” 

He further emphasised that Worksport is well-positioned to capitalise on the tonneau cover market, which is worth $4 billion and sees over 7 million covers sold annually. With the top-selling vehicles in the U.S. — the Ford F-Series, Chevy Silverado, and Ram Pickup — accounting for over 50% of sales in 2023, Worksport’s market presence is set to grow.

Rossi adds “On the technology front, our SOLIS & COR clean energy systems are tapping into a rapidly expanding market with massive potential. The Company is actively building a solid foundation for sustained, long-term growth.”

New products set to launch in 2024

Worksport is poised to introduce several highly anticipated products this year, including:

  • SOLIS Solar Tonneau Cover: A first-of-its-kind solar cover that generates 650W of power, ideal for truck owners, worksites, and outdoor enthusiasts. Paired with Worksport’s MPPT, it can charge most major battery systems.
  • COR Portable Energy System: A modular energy solution with 1.7kWh storage and hot-swap capability, capable of powering high-demand appliances such as refrigerators and microwaves. It is designed to complement the SOLIS cover.
  • AL4 Premium Tonneau Cover: This high-demand, four-fold cover with improved margins is expected to be a significant product in Worksport’s lineup.

Engineering innovation and dedication

Worksport’s engineering team, based in Ozark, Missouri, plays a pivotal role in the company’s success. With over 100 years of combined experience, these professionals are adept at responding swiftly to new market opportunities. Following a 275% revenue growth in Q2 2024, the team remains poised to drive the company’s further expansion.

In addition, Worksport’s technology division in Toronto has been at the forefront of developing modern products such as the SOLIS and COR systems. This team, which includes numerous PhD holders and seasoned industry professionals, brings valuable expertise to the company’s ambitious innovation projects.
