The Singularity Paradox: Bridging The Gap Between Humanity And AI
The Singularity Paradox by Anders Indset and Dr. Florian Neukart explores the merging of humanity and AI, proposing the rise of Artificial Human Intelligence (AHI). The book examines the ethical, scientific, and philosophical implications of integrating AI into human cognition. It challenges conventional ideas of consciousness and identity in a post-biological future. The pre-order includes a free hardcover copy of EX MACHINA – THE GOD EXPERIMENT.

Deep tech investor and philosopher Anders Indset, together with quantum physicist and AI expert Dr. Florian Neukart, are set to release their latest book, The Singularity Paradox: Bridging the Gap Between Humanity and AI, in April by Wiley. The book presents a timely and profound exploration of how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is evolving beyond a tool and becoming an integrated part of human existence.

Over the last two years, Anders Indset and Florian Neukart have engaged in an intense scientific-philosophical dialogue, questioning the nature of intelligence and the future of humanity. Their work centres on one pivotal idea: “What happens when AI stops being artificial?”

A vision for a Post-biological future

The Singularity Paradox delves into the development of Artificial Human Intelligence (AHI)—a term the authors use to describe the fusion of AI with human cognition. Rather than viewing AI as an external force to be controlled, the book argues that the next evolution may involve humanity itself enhancing its own intelligence by integrating AI into the brain and nervous system.

“AI is not the final step – it’s the beginning of a new evolution,” the authors write. The book positions AHI as a conscious response to the unconscious rise of machine superintelligence. Doing so raises critical questions: How do we define humanity when intelligence no longer relies solely on biology? What remains uniquely human if machines can think, create, and even feel?

“We speak of artificial intelligence as if it is separate from us, an external force to be controlled. But what if the real revolution is not machines becoming human, but humans integrating artificial intelligence into their own cognition?”

A Paradox at the Heart of Progress

The authors refer to the paradox inherent in all revolutions: the tools designed to serve ultimately transform the creator. AI is no exception. As Anders and Dr Florian write, “At the heart of every revolution is a paradox: The thing we create to serve us ultimately transforms us.”

This central idea forms the foundation of The Singularity Paradox. The book explores how technological advancements challenge the boundaries of biology, neuroscience, and consciousness—shaping a future where human and machine might co-exist within a single identity.

Ethical, Scientific and Philosophical Dilemmas

The book does not present AI as a threat to be feared or as a saviour. Instead, it presents a balanced and rigorous analysis of how AI is transforming our collective future. The authors examine the ethical, philosophical, and social implications of merging technology with humanity.

Anders Indset and Florian Neukart reflect on timeless philosophical questions in a new context: “For millennia, humans have asked: What defines us? Is it our consciousness? Our creativity? Our mortality? Now, as we approach the singularity, we must ask: If intelligence can exist beyond biology, what remains uniquely human?”
