CUDOS Intercloud and ASI Alliance Drive Decentralised AI Infrastructure

CUDOS, ASI Alliance

CUDOS Intercloud and ASI Alliance Drive Decentralised AI Infrastructure
CUDOS Intercloud partners with the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance to provide a decentralised, permissionless compute layer for AI. Offering over 20 petaflops of GPU power and wallet-based access, it supports open-source AI platforms like ASI Train and ASI Create. With renewable containerised data centres and smart contract integration, CUDOS enables scalable, transparent, and global AI infrastructure without central control or vendor lock-in.

CUDOS Intercloud partners with the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance to provide a decentralised, permissionless compute layer for AI. It supports open-source AI platforms like ASI Train and ASI Create, offering over 20 petaflops of GPU power and wallet-based access.

CUDOS Intercloud has established itself as the decentralised backbone of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI) since their collaboration began six months ago. The partnership, initially formed through a token merger, now represents a strategic alignment focused on building globally distributed infrastructure capable of meeting the needs of AI development and deployment.

The ASI Alliance was established with the goal of creating an AI infrastructure that is open, composable, and resistant to censorship. Realising this vision requires large-scale compute resources without traditional gatekeepers or central control. CUDOS Intercloud complements this objective by operating one of the largest distributed compute networks worldwide.

With over 15 million GPU hours delivered and a user base exceeding 30,000, CUDOS Intercloud provides the necessary scale to support AI workloads that surpass the limitations found in conventional cloud providers. Its integration within the ASI technology stack extends across multiple platforms, including ASI Train, a training environment, and ASI Create, a suite of AI development tools. CUDOS’ GPU clusters underpin these systems, delivering the high-performance compute resources essential for open-source AI development.

Scaling compute for the demands of AI

The growth in demand for AI compute has accelerated rapidly. CUDOS Intercloud meets this challenge through advanced hardware and a distributed network architecture, now offering over 20 petaflops of compute power that continues to expand weekly. The infrastructure incorporates NVIDIA H100s, H200s, and L40S GPUs to facilitate both AI training and inference tasks.

In addition, CUDOS Intercloud will soon offer bare metal support on CUDO Compute, allowing full stack control for users. The platform supports cluster-level compute orchestration, enabling teams managing thousands of GPUs to operate efficiently. Notably, the deployment process requires zero Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures — users can connect via a wallet to access the system, supporting privacy and ease of access.

This scale of operation allows diverse users, from Decentralised Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) developers to AI startups, to maintain ownership over their technology stack, secure their data, and deploy AI solutions globally from the outset.

Unification beyond token merging

The merger in the fourth quarter of 2024 extends beyond token consolidation. It establishes a foundation for technical and infrastructural integration, including token unification across different blockchain chains and exchanges. This facilitates seamless resource provisioning through blockchain-level integration and supports digital payments directly powered by ASI.

Further integration includes full $FET token incorporation and incentives designed to encourage active use of the platform. The alliance has also launched global containerised data centres, with the first located in Sweden, operating entirely on renewable energy. This infrastructure eliminates vendor lock-in, opaque pricing, and centralised control, offering developers a transparent and flexible environment to build and scale AI applications.

Expansion and new capabilities

CUDOS Intercloud plans to continue expanding its distributed edge infrastructure to accommodate growing AI requirements. Upcoming developments include enhanced cluster support for large-scale AI model training and developer tools aimed at simplifying fine-tuning and custom deployment processes.

The platform will introduce smart contract-driven compute allocation, further decentralising resource management. Additionally, new applications and templates will make AI deployment accessible with minimal effort, enabling one-click launch capabilities.

The alliance also intends to broaden the deployment of decentralised, containerised data centres worldwide, reinforcing a sustainable and permissionless compute framework.

As open-source AI models such as DeepSeek, Ollama, Gwen, and OpenManus gain wider adoption, the demand for accessible and decentralised compute resources intensifies. CUDOS Intercloud is positioned to meet this demand by delivering a robust, scalable infrastructure that supports the next phase of AI innovation.

About Artificial Superintelligence Alliance

The ASI Alliance, founded in April 2024, is a global partnership focused on decentralised Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Artificial Superintelligence (ASI). The alliance comprises key organisations such as Fetch.ai, SingularityNET, Ocean Protocol, and CUDOS. The alliance promotes ethical, scalable, and open-source AI solutions to support developers, enterprises, and researchers worldwide.

Its native token, $FET, formed by merging $AGIX, $FET, and $OCEAN, facilitates governance and economic activity within the ecosystem. Key products include ASI-1 Mini, a scalable AI model; ASI Compute, a decentralised compute layer; and Agentverse, a platform for autonomous AI agents. The ASI Wallet manages identities and interactions securely.

The alliance comprises over 300 experts collaborating on AI research and infrastructure. Market capitalisation stands at around $1.64 billion, ranking 49th globally, with a 24-hour trading volume of $133.23 million USD. Leadership includes Dr. Ben Goertzel (CEO), Humayun Sheikh (Chairman), Trent McConaghy, Bruce Pon, Janet Adams, and Matt Hawkins.
